Our Mission
The Jewish Housing Association of Metropolitan Detroit (JHA), was formed to educate, assist and support the Jewish community as to affordable housing options for the growing number of families whose mortgage loans are in distress or have lost their home equity.
In today's economic climate, more and more families are experiencing financial difficulties with meeting their living expenses. Events like illness, death of a family member, divorce and job loss can contribute to those financial and emotional difficulties. For families in Southeastern Michigan, Jewish Housing Association of Metropolitan Detroit seeks to assist families with safe, affordable housing. In partnership with the Jewish Federation, families are supported in this community to assure that no Jewish family goes without housing and no family stands alone.
